Week 2 Student Teaching

Week 2 My overall experience this week would be a rating of 2. One of my biggest accomplishments this weeks was teaching all four of our reading groups. I felt that my time management is improving, I did go over the allotted time twice, but this was actually good because we are testing students this week. By going over time during the two lessons it allowed my CE to test several more students. My biggest lesson learned today was that you need to be consistent when disciplining students. Today was Friday and many of my students were excited and frustrated that they haven't been able to play outside. I believe, I may have been a bit sympathetic  to their situation and let them carrying on bad behavior too long. Several students kept leaving their seats and disrupting others during our reading rotations. I gave verbal warnings several times when usually we will take points from Class Dojo.
